My cute little christmas girl

Yesterday I met my mom to pick up my kids and on the way home they fell asleep. I love when my kids are a sleep in the car - I think it is so cute & Briana is getting so old it hardley happens anymore. When I got home and saw how much snow we got - I left them in the car sleeping ... while I hurried and shoveled the walks. When I was done it was time to go pick up Chris from work (because we drove into work together that morning). As we were pulling out of the neighborhood the song from Polar Express came on - the one where the two kids sing about when Christmas comes to town. From a sound sleep all a sudden Briana stirred and started singing "the best time of the year when Christmas comes too town..." She woke up and started signing along in a sweet tired voice. It was so cute - I want to keep her this age forever!!! She is so excited about Christmas - life would be so boring without kids! I'm so glad I have mine!!!

Christmas Jammies

Each holiday I make jammie pants for my kiddos - I made them little matching ones this year out of some fabric from their grandma Colleen who died 4 years ago this December. I got them done a couple weeks ago but I can't seem to get a cute picture of them in them - so Oh Well... here they are!

Last year we did all of us in matching jammies - just looking at the pictures makes me want to do it again - hmmm 2 days do I have time? As you can see we had a hard time getting a cute picture last year too! This is just a fun family tradition we do...

I shouldn't post morning pictures :) but that's the Christmas morning last year - Opening presents.

Snow!!!

Check out how much snow we got! I was jealous of the snow blowers today!!! I was in Salt Lake most the day and it snowed all day but I was so surprised to find this when I came home!

(Yeah - I took a picture of my horribly shoveled walks - I was just happy I got that much done. )

Seeing Santa Claus...

Saturday night we went to see Santa.... (my camera didn't work very good though - dang!!!)

Christmas Programs

Wow! What a week... lots of school parties and programs! My camera was kinda on the brink this week (nice - right before Christmas!) and I forgot to even take it to a couple things.
Briana's school program was on Wednesday - and she looked so cute in her grass skirt and lei. She was so excited that I also got to come in and read a book to her class that same day. Grandma Peggy came to the program and took us to lunch, and then came to our house to make neighbor treats - It was a super fun day!
Kaleb's school program was Friday - and I can't believe he even sat in a group - but I about cried when I saw him sway back and forth ---- and I got it recorded... check it out. What a cutie. I felt bad I didn't even think to invite family, until I got there and everyone had grandparents.

It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas...

Christmas is sneaking up on me this year! The days are flying by! Thanks to my sister-in-law & brother for watching my kiddos Saturday - we actually got our shopping done & kinda got a date all at the same time. (By the way Ned thanks for the great cookies - I'm sorry about the you know what but you are the one who put frosting in my hair and a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do to get out of a tight hold)
Now that the shopping is done - I get to go to the kids schools each day!
Tomorrow I get to take desserts to Kaleb's school for teacher appreciation day since I'm on the board. Then Wed I get to go tell about a holiday tradition at Briana's school - read her class a story - watch the school sing - then make candy with my mom. Meet the girl friends from high school for dinner. Then the next morning go to Kaleb's school to do a class party since I'm the class mom - that night we have a Christmas party for Chris' work and then Friday go to a program at Kaleb's school & work. WOW! Then more weekend parties. Tis the season!!! I guess that's why time is flying by!!!

Snap Fish

I'm so excited about the FREE snapfish book I got! Thanks to a friend emailing me and telling me about the Oprah offer. I got this free 20 page hard back book & all I had to pay for was shipping! Check out how cool it is... You'd think I'd give it to a grandparent for a gift - but I want it....

Christmas Party at Grandma Sims

My grandma does a huge party every year! She is 92 and still pulls it off! Can you believe it!!! She gives everyone a bag of treats and makes us all dinner. It is a pretty big group too!!! It's not Christmas without the party at her house.

Here is a cute picture of Lindsay. She is my cute little niece that is only 2 weeks older then Kaleb.

Kody & Hunter - my handsome nephews.

My sis & her husband Jayson

My sister-in-law Ammie, and my nieces Kami (I can't believe Kam is almost 16!!!), & Kimmy

My nieces Hanna & Kalie - man 13? they look 17!

Somehow I missed getting pictures of my own family. But it was super fun to see everyone!!!

Turning 30 ....

Chris can not believe I care so much about the fact that I'm turning 30 this month! But I can't stop thinking about my 20's. I thought I would get some fun pictures of "PROOF" I had fun - but I can't even find where they are. But they would be off me in Hawaii, Cancun, getting tattoos, new blazer, new jet ski, - things like that. I know I would be the only who really cared about the pictures - but it would be fun to show them. But at the same time there are positive things about being older - I found this on a turning 30 search & I liked it! I think it is totally true. In fact sometimes I wish I would just stop saying exactly what's on my mind - why can't I be shy geri anymore? I guess it's cause I no longer care that much.

This is for all you girls 30 years and over....and for those who are turning 30, and for those who are scared of moving into their 30's! This was written by Andy Rooney from CBS 60 Minutes Andy Rooney says: As I grow in age, I value women who are over 30 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why:

A woman over 30 will never wake you in the middle of the night to ask, "What are you thinking?". She doesn't care what you think. (and I'm too tired to care :)

If a woman over 30 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do. And, it's usually something more interesting.

A woman over 30 knows herself well enough to be assured in who she is, what she is, what she wants and from whom. Few women past the age of 30 give a damn what you might think about her or what she's doing.

Women over 30 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you, if they think they can get away with it.

A woman over 30 has the self-assurance to introduce you to her women friends. A younger woman with a man will often ignore even her best friend because she doesn't trust the guy with other women. Women over 30 couldn't care less if you're attracted to her friends because she knows her friends won't betray her. (I thought this was funny because just last night Christmas shopping with Chris - I was pointing out to him how hot the cashier girl was at Target - I don't care if he looks :)

Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 30 is far sexier than her younger counterpart. (now - I don't agree with this one - I mean you are never the same after having kids but it sounds good!)

Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off if you are a jerk if you are acting like one! You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her. ( yep - that's me - you'll never have to guess because I'll tell ya!)

Festival of Trees

Thursday we went to the Festival of Trees with Kaleb's preschool class. I should have gone with my instincts and stayed home. But I thought it will be fun just me & Kaleb. - Well we left pretty early into it - both of us in tears. He hated it!!! I was trying to carry him while he threw a HUGE fit!!! finally after him biting me and my back killing from trying to hold my strong 4yr old while he threw a fit - we decided to leave. - but here's a picture of a saying by the Autism tree... but no cute pictures of Kaleb there like I was hoping :)
I hate when Kaleb is sad - I feel so in touch with him ... I cry too! I love my little man!

Santa Claus is coming to town...

Briana came home from school last week and she decided to dress up as Santa. I was in the other room working and came in to find this... I had to get my camera out. She was so disappointed that I didn't have a white beard. She stayed dressed like this the whole day - everywhere we went we got some funny looks :) I just love when kids are kids!

Christmas Lights at Thanksgiving Point & Reindeer

Saturday night we went to see the lights at Thanksgiving Point. We did it last year and it was so much fun!!!

Kaleb fell asleep! What a cutie!
Bree - LOVED hanging out the door looking at all the lights as we drove through them.

Briana said "This is the best night of my LIFE" too cute! and that was before we knew about the reindeer. As we were leaving, Chris noticed people gathering around - so Briana and I walked over to see what was going on. They had REAL Reindeer there! Bree was so excited! She got to touch a REAL reindeer!
