Fishing

24th of July!!!

We got up early and headed up to one of our favorite spots!!! Silver Lake Flats up American Fork Canyon! We fished and went on walks and ate lunch up there. It was so much fun to just get up to the mountains for the day!

Kaleb and Tucker just want IN the water and yes both have to stay leashed or we wouldn't be able to keep them with us :)

Then we went home and we were so HOT that Bre talked us into swimming in the backyard with her! So sorry neighbors!!! We had to look like a bunch of rednecks! But our kids were in heaven having mom and dad in the kids pool! Then we had a little family BBQ for dinner and then did fire works out front!



All I think of when I see this picture is him saying "what the heck?" Really?

My toes are so much cooler then those fireworks SISTER!

Then we topped it off with ice cream cones and Popsicles out front!

I love my little family! We have so much fun - just us! It feels like my kids are just growing up way too fast!!!

Fishing at Silver Lake Flats

Friday July 3rd - Grandpa Gene met us at our house at 7am to go fishing up at Silver Lake Flats. It was a blast! LOOK how PRETTY it is up there! WOW!!!
We took the kids up in their PJ's - since we didn't get home until 1am from the rodeo and then left again at 7am. We ate breakfast up there and then dressed the kiddos.

Bre caught lots of fish! Dad and grandpa let her real all of them in.

Then grandpa bought us lunch on the way home and we ate at our house! We had a blast! We loved all of grandpa's jokes! Thanks for coming with us grandpa!

Our day at the LAKE!!!

Christopher had a day off and so we thought it would be fun to spend the day at the lake! This lake is above Timpanogos Cave & Tibblefork Lake, it is called Silver Lake Flats & it is BEAUTIFUL. We took hamburgers & our little BBQ and we fished and ate lunch up there. It was super windy at times - but very fun. It was cold - yet we are all sunburned .... except Kaleb who slept most the time. He had his first day of summer school today & he was pretty wasted from burning the candle at both ends - being up all night & then getting up at 6:30am and getting on the bus at 7am. He got home just after 11am & then we headed up the canyon.

We saw a MOOSE, Three Deer, lots of Chipmunks, & of course the fish & tons of seagulls.

This is the fifth fish of six that we caught - but Christopher had been using worms & Briana was pretty sure she was done using worms because she had not caught one with her pole yet. So she insisted that she needed daddy to put the cheese on the hook instead & she casted it out herself & reeled it in - she got the biggest fish of the day!

Grandpa - I GOTTA a FISH! She says she has to give it to grandpa Gene - because she doesn't eat fish & either does grandpa John. But Dad says grandpa Gene does!
